The company which runs the Japan Casino Academy and Tokyo-based human resources firm Altima have formed a joint venture to create Japan’s first recruitment agency for the anticipated domestic IR industry.
The press release announcing the joint venture explains, “When Japan opens large-scale IR facilities, each one will create about 10,000 jobs of about 100 different categories. Therefore, as the IR bills have progressed, more and more people have been thinking about shifting jobs to the IR industry.”
While the new venture recognizes that years remain before the first IRs open their doors, they appear to have calculated there is an advantage is moving very early to identify those Japanese workers who possess specialized skills or a strong interest in the new industry. (AGB Nippon)
