Spectrum Gaming Reorganizes Japan Operations

The Spectrum Gaming Group, a consultancy that specializes in the economics, regulation, and policy of legalized gambling worldwide, has recently reorganized its Japan operations, just as the domestic IR market is set to expand.

Asaka Ishiyama has been appointed Senior Vice President, Japan. Ishiyama had previously served on the board of directors for Adelaide Casino in Australia. Based in Tokyo, Ishiyama “will oversee Spectrum’s business development regarding integrated resorts (IR) in Japan.”

Fredric Gushin, managing director of the Spectrum Gaming Group, tells AGB Nippon, “Given the passage of the IR bill and its implementation this year and going forward, we determined to step up our presence in Japan.”

Meanwhile, Kenji Okamoto, who was previously managing director of Spectrum Asia (Japan), a related company, has now moved outside of the Spectrum Asia group and rebranded as Vector Risk Management. Okamoto’s firm is multi-faceted and the gaming sector is a minority part of his overall business.

Accounts agree that the Spectrum reorganization is entirely amicable and that the various parties will continue to support one another’s business efforts. (AGB Nippon)
